The lure of the cat

I love South Korea and Japan for several reasons. One of them is the proliferation of stores selling the mouthless cat - Hello Kitty!

I have a pretty good reaping of Hello Kitty stuff so far from Seoul. It could have been more if wasn't for the fact I tried to rein myself in. I would hate to have Josh nagging at me forlonly for shopping my bank account to zilch before the month is over.

Still, much determination is needed to resist the lure of the cat. The Sanrio store within COEX mall is filled with SO many temptations! I found really cute kitchen cookware, bathroom accessories and stationery not seen in Singapore's stores. There was also an uber hot floating ring in leopard print and Hello Kitty monogram!

In the end, I bought only these...

Not cheap though. I suspect Hello Kitty stuff are more expensive in Seoul than in Japan. The fabric bag, for instance, costs 57,000won or S$69. But if the husband asked, I would say it went for only S$30! Hah!

I will be going on a guided tour around Seoul, courtesy of the local tourism bureau. Free time for shopping is included on Friday and I hope I won't see another Hello Kitty store!
