I could eat a cow - part 2

Update! Update!

I did eventually eat a cow! Well, not exactly a whole cow. Part of a cow, to be exact. Four strips of a part of a cow, to be more exact.

And I did not get my Korean cuisine fix at Auntie Kim's. Instead, as the husband turned out onto Pasir Panjang, we spotted Ju Shin Jang Korean Charcoal BBQ restaurant across the road. And that was where we went instead.

A wide array of complimentary appetisers was provided, but I fancied only the cold tofu in a stimulating kimchi sauce.

Frankly, I'm truly surprised how something so simple could taste so good. I could eat this cold, spicy tofu with rice every day!

Apart from a serving of galbisal (boneless ribs) and moksal (pork collar), the husband and I also stuffed our greedy faces with japchae (sweet potato noodles fried with loads of fragrant sesame oil and greens) and samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup).

On a cold, stormy evening like today, nothing warms the tum-tum like a boiling bowl of samgyetang! :)

And samgyetang tastes even better when it is shared between the husband and I, as we discuss the possibility of taking a makan vacation in Seoul next year.
