Osia revisted

If you think that a meal at a celebrity chef restaurant is a pricey affair, you need to think again.

Michelin star chef Scott Webster is putting quality cuisine within the reach of more food lovers at his restaurant, Osia, at Resorts World Sentosa.

If you swing by Osia between 6pm and 7.30pm for dinner on weekdays, you will be able to please your tummy with an impressive three-course meal for a mere S$42++ per person. You will also be pleased to know that you can pick from three starters and three mains. The set includes Osia's star item - the decadent Valrhona hot chocolate soup and black pepper ice-cream, and coffee or tea.

We woke the taste buds with some tasty flat bread.

While I warmed the tummy with Cream of Cauliflower and smoked salmon - a wonderful combination, I say! - the husband had a fresh serving of carpaccio.

For mains, I had some of the most tender chicken breasts with savoury risotto.

And the man dug into red meat.

Ahh... this tenderloin is such a thing of beauty. So red, so rare, so juicy. I would have gone for beef, but I wanted to cut down on my red meat intake. My digestive system has been pretty wonky for months, and I figured less meat, especially red meat, might sooth my insides.

And finally... sweets!

Happiness? You bet!

I noticed that Osia has also a two-course set dinner for S$95++ or thereabouts, and choices include foie gras and steak. The price climbs with a selection of three-course and four-course sets. You can also jazz up your dinner with a wine pairing for an additional S$65++.

Totally. Neat.

The husband and I were already planning our next visit before dinner was over. :)

Anyway, dinner was courtesy of Cousin Jan who has left the US and taken up a pretty swell job here in Singapore.
